Your role is to support the project development activities within the company globally and lead potentially lead certain developments. This will be achieved by supporting colleagues in all aspects of the early development phases of projects. As a management position it is envisaged that you will undertake activities in both the management and technical sides of the development process dealing with Authorities, stakeholders and value chain as well as working on the engineering and consenting tasks.


Management Responsibilities

  • Contribute to develop and design the business development strategy of the company in the country
  • Development of regional pipeline and coordinating local efforts with a broader account strategic objective.
  • Understand local markets’ needs, gather market intelligence, and identify industry trends
  • Identify “out of the box” opportunities to include in our developments
  • Act as an interface and facilitator between the local stakeholders and Simply Blue staff to foster a constructive dialogue.
  • Identify, map out and engage with the local stakeholders (government NGOs etc.) developing long-term relationships based on trust.
  • Follow up relations with potential development partners.
  • Manage activities of external contractors who are supporting project development activities.
  • Represent Simply Blue in local associations and/or events


Technical Responsibilities

  • Provide input on engineering and wider technical matters in support of early offshore wind project development activities.
  • Support the engineering activities for site selection ensuring that technical parameters are understood, and technical risks are mitigated.
  • Support the development phase of the engineering programme and identify all key activities required to progress project activities.
  • Support Development budget creation & maintenance
  • Interact with consultants to deliver early project work
  • Support early partner identification and interaction


Environmental Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of environmental and/or consenting relating tasks for the site selection process and associated risks.
  • Support the development of consenting related budgets and programmes aligned to the required consenting activities.
  • Support the stakeholder management process and be involved in the engagement with environmental and consenting stakeholders.


Personal Development

  • Manage your own personal development aligned to personal and group level goals and strategies.
