This is an exciting opportunity to join the Simply Blue Group team responsible for developing innovative floating wind projects in the U.S. This position will work within Simply Blue Group’s joint-venture with TotalEnergies in the U.S. (TotalEnergies SBE US), which includes project development activities on both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts. The Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Director, US Projects in developing and maintaining an overall program for pre-BOEM auction project development activities for the portfolio of projects within the TotalEnergies SBE US portfolio.

The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining project management tools and disciplines to ensure that the project portfolio is delivered within specification and budget, ensuring that interfaces, risks and communications are all managed effectively and professionally, and that outputs are all high quality and stand up to external assessment. The candidate must be detailed oriented, able to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation, and have a willingness to work on complicated, multi-disciplinary projects.

This is a full-time role and salary is subject to negotiation and will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

  • Support the Project Director as well as project managers on a day-to-day level in various tasks and workstreams;
  • Assist with establishing and updating project schedules and budgets and budget tracking tools;
  • Develop and implement task tracking tools on a project-by-project basis
  • Prepare project presentations for external meetings with partners and stakeholders as well as for communication with senior management;
  • Prepare regular project reports and assist in fulfilling report requirements;
  • Liaise with colleagues across the project team on behalf of project managers to obtain project-related updates, align on information-sharing, and ensure project tasks are completed on-time with appropriate follow-up;
  • Carry out tasks as described above in project-specific roles as part of a group-wide project team and in such role reports to applicable work package, workstream, and project manager of the respective project;
  • Develop and maintain a JV and project-level RACI matrix in consultation with the Project Director;
  • Manage the development of, and maintain, a project-level risk register, organized on a workstream basis and supported by the workstream leads;
  • Support TotalEnergies SBE US in developing and implementing JV-specific processes (i.e. Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices) as necessary
  • Preparation of regular Project progress reports;
  • Regularly review scope and progress and propose ways of accelerating development where required;
  • Support Project Director to ensure effective interface management and collaboration;
  • Ensure the seamless flow of information is achieved through effective communications and orderly management of data;
  • Specification preparation and procurement;
  • Preparation and presentation of project literature, reports, presentations and briefing notes including the competent use of all relevant software required to professionally convey project information;
  • Perform other tasks and take on additional duties as reasonably assigned by the supervisor, project manager, and/or group unit.

Experience Required


  • Degree in Engineering or other relevant field with at least three years’ experience in the offshore or energy sector
  • Demonstrable project management experience including change management
  • Knowledge around technical and commercial aspects of renewable energy project development
  • Experience of managing procurement processes
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to liaise with a range of different parties
  • Computer literate– ability to communicate clearly and concisely by email, prepare Word documents and reports, create and use Excel spreadsheets effectively, prepare presentations using Powerpoint, create and maintain project schedules (utilizing MS Project, Primavera, or similar), and work collaboratively using Sharepoint and Teams.


  • Project Management Professional certification (or similar)
  • Experience in the offshore wind sector
  • Floating wind specific experience will be viewed favorably
  • Experience in offshore construction or related maritime industry
